In 2025 season the Georgian Bay Owl will be developing a U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, and U16. The team will be composed of players from all around Georgian Bay. We have had the opportunity to have players from the United States,  Europe, and Mexico join us for the 2024 season, and anticipate more players for the upcoming season.  Tryouts for the mentioned teams will be hosted at The Home of the Georgian Bay Owls, the Wasaga Stars Arena. .Tryouts, practices, and exhibition games will occur at the Wasaga Arena. Tryouts will start to take place in the month of March and will continue till April.  As the dates are set, we will have that information available.

Once the tryouts are concluded the teams will be formed and we will move forward with the planning for the Spring/Summer season. Let the Fun Begin! The team will be allocated to the division that best suits the skill level of the team.  We are competing in the A/AA/AAA division.  The skill level will be determined by the Coaches and Director of Hockey. The Skill level may change during the season.

Commitment:
   •    10-15 hours of practice ice time and development.
   •    Scheduled exhibition games. (away and home) time permitting. To be coordinated by the coach and hockey director

Tournaments:
   •    Each team will participate in (3) Three tournaments this season with an option of a fourth tournament with an additional cost or fundraising. Coaches will have tournament selection complete by tryouts.

Equipment Package:
   •    Custom Home and Away Jerseys with sublimated names and numbers. (2)
   •    Team Hat
   •    Team T-shirt
   •    Team Socks

Cost:
The cost per player will be $1250.00 plus a $250.00 equipment package. The total for the season will be $1500.00. Players returning will have a deduction of $200.00 for the season.

Payments are divided into two segments.

1) Upon signing up.

2) May 1st, 2025

Player Selection:
Tryout information will be communicated via email, website, FaceBook, and Instagram.  Tryouts will include skill sessions, intra-squad games, and possibly exhibition games. Independent evaluators will be used to support the evaluation process of goalies and players.  Players will be assessed on individual skills (e.g. Skating, passing, shooting) and game skills (e.g. engaging in the play, team play). Players will be evaluated both ON-ICE and OFF-ICE from the time they arrive at the rink.  We hope to field a team of hard-working, positive, focused players who listen well and respect all those around them.
